Engine #478 - Builders Plate
The builders plates on all three K-28’s looked damaged. Were they removed to prevent theft, or maybe recovered?
I don’t know for sure Mike, but I do recall they all were showing their age with cracks so I would assume they were removed before they were lost / damaged during train operations
