Modeling the 50"s, HO shelf layout. Does anyone make the RS-2 or RS-3 Switcher with DCC/Sound that might be on sale somewhere? Have a Steam engine and one Switcher with Sound now. LOVE SOUND!!!

The short answer is no. Not at this time. I am guessing the next run from Horizon might have sound. The problem with sound and that model is that their is so little room for anything. Performance will be compromized. I would plan on buying two to do the job one normally would have done.
I only have one with sound. It was difficult. Next time I’m going to mill the fuel tank and install the speaker “down-firing” instead of doing a “top fire” through the vent.
I put sound in an RS-1, which is similar. I used a Soundtraxx Alco decoder. I love the Alco engine sound. But it is tight fitting everything in. I have three RS-2s that need sound, but I have put it off, because it is difficult. I removed some of the weight in the RS-1, which reduced it’s pulling ability. Like the other poster said, plan on using two together, to pull more than about 10 cars. On the other hand, I only use the RS-1 on the local, and 10 cars is plenty.
