2 I have not seen any of them in Armor Yelow, Did UP have any?
Thanks!

There are none on this roster, but it does show RS1 and RS2s.

Long hood was the F end - could be used either way.
I don’t know about the UP but I remember seeing many, many Reading Alco RS 3’s (called perversely by the Reading, RS 1’s) and I remeber them always operating long hood forward.
Origionally made long hood forward, some were converted the other way round and some had chopped noses.
Adrianspeeder
Erie,New York Central, Nickel Plate,PRR and Rutland ran 'em long hood forward as I recall. Good old Lehigh Valley in an odd, for them, move had all their RS3s running long hood front,as well. Every other road I know fairly well ran their RS3s short hood forward.(as built)
I know some of them dual controls to run in either direction
The Chesapeake & Ohio’s two RS3s were delivered by the builder to run short hood forward.
Thanks everyone, now I know that I can run my RS3 model any way and it will be correct.
