First of all sorry I haven’t been much active much guys. Been real busy. And the past 5 days I’ve been cooped up in my house thanks to the flu, I saw some fog roll in. Before I got sick, I think it was last Wednesday, I did some fog stuff and was pretty pleased. So I took my woman and I down to the street trackage in West Brownsville, which is not far from my house. After a slow start, the snow and the ideas starting flowing. Enjoy! BTW, is this something trains would take? I’ve never uploaded to trains. Just to the forums here…

The first 2 are from my venture a week ago. 1st one, Amtraks Capitol Limited flies by the Gratztown Signals on the CSX’s Keystone Sub in some thick fog and rain
WOW [wow] - wonderful images ! [bow] Thanks for sharing ! I’d never wish illness on anyone - maybe that wasn’t it anyway - but something worked to ignite your ‘muse’ there, methinks. Maybe your lady friend ? [:-^]
The last 2 - you ‘channeling’ O. Winston Link or something ? My favorite is the 1st one of the Capitol Limited, though - the contrasting of the light vs. dark and the different color streaks = motion vs. the signals = static - and those are some of the best images of a Green that I’ve seen yet (I’m hoping someday to get a good close-up of a ‘High Green’ to use as a background/ wallpaper on my computer. . . ).
Now maybe a request, since you obviously have an aptitude for these kinds of photos: Over in the current “Trackside Lounge: 1Q 2011” thread at around Page 24 at - http://cs.trains.com/TRCCS/forums/t/184828.aspx?PageIndex=24 - there’s a question about “ditch lights” from 02-07-2011 and answers then and on 02-08-2011. I’m going to suggest that someone try to get a photo of them in for, rain, or snow so that the ‘light beams’ thus made visible can be used to illustrate how at least some of the ditch lights are aimed to be angled across the tracks. If it was me, I’d try for a photo from a bridge above the loco as it goes underneath, looking ahead to hopefully be able to isolate the ditch light beams from the main headlight. What do you think about that ? Are you interested in trying for such a shot ?

Whoa!! I really like all your work, but your file called "Night Owl’ is super spectacular!! Those are just phenomenal!!! I think they should be submitted to Trains and if they don’t use them, we are all missing out! Thanks a bunch for sharing, and keep up the good work for sure!! Hope you are all better now.
