Rumours, Speculation and Possibilities

I have been hearing rumours of CN running a Triple Crown from Toronto to Rutherford, PA and a coal train between PA to Toronto (Whitby maybe-Co-Steel)

Is there any truth to this?

…Wouldn’t it be great if we could start to load up the railroads with more containers, coal drags and general freight from the interstates…and more, to the point we would start to notice a void on the interstates from not being overrun from trucks…Maybe to the point the railroads would have to start to build more doble track capacity and so on…

If this is true, which railroad would likely give them the right of way to get to the BLE?

RIGHT ON MAN!! I would rather see many more coal, intermodel, and manifest traffic on the rails, rather than seeing 18 wheelers rolling down the interstate every 15 seconds. My school is right infornt of the PA Turnpike and right next to the Turnpike is an NS mainline (it used to belong to the PRR) which follows the pike and has mainly intermodel traffic. But, unfortunitly I must see 2,000 trucks every day and only 2 intermodels some w/ UP power on the NS. I would love to see a double track for this route, and more TRAINS! But the PA turnpike gets way more traffic than the mainline [V]
