I have a delimma, I can not concentrate on one railroad, noe time period, and one country for that matter. But it has come to my attention, this is not a real railroad. These are just G-scale or 0-scale trains.
I like british stuff, American Stuff, European Stuff, So this is my message
RUN WHAT YOU LIKE, IT DOSENT MATTER IF IT LOOKS RIGHT, DO WHAT YOU WANT.

Thats good. There is nothing wrong with an Accucraft Exelshior or a Roundhouse Lady Anne or a british narrow gauge desil running along side American Standard and Narrow gauge or a Roundhouse William tripleheaded with an LGB 0-4-0 and a Bachmann 4-6-0, It would look interesting, just run what you like.
I like the style of Marc Horovitz’s Ogden Botanical Railway, He runs live steam and electric and battery from different countrys as well as american. It shows ou are a person of many worlds or interests or what have you.

The good thing about lining in our times, is that were are the “future.” All periods can exist as on in our times. You can have a mueseum that runs all periods and styles and it can exist in real time. Or…you can be a collector of locomotives. I believe there is an recording company executive in England (or at least somewhere on the Isle) who does just that. Any of our British friends know of this? I saw it on a television special on day.

i think its your RR you should run what you want i did anything gos. but 20yrs later they have f3’s and there my favorites so thats my main stay and diesels diesels yep its my RR ain’t it great

Your absolutely right. This is a hobby not a real railroad.
My favorite style of railroading is “industrial tramways” running on a track gauge of 24" or less. So I’m starting to scratch build a 4 wheel tramway style loco to 7/8" scale. If I like what I build I’ll try a few 4 wheel cars to go along with the loco.
Then if all goes well I’ll sell off my “G” scale stuff and rebuild some parts of my layout to better suit 7/8" scale.
Then I will be running what I really want, that which gives me the most satisfaction.
I have also started building tramway models in 1:24" scale to run on 15" guage track (HO gauge).

And scale , brand and other predjudices don’t have anything to do with it.

Rocky, I’ve seen an AC 0-4-0 hauling streamliner cars…looked like a chihuahua dragging a st.bernard, so, yes, I guess you could[;)]
John, Rightness is in the eye of the beholder.
Its your railroad so whatever looks “right” to you is whats right !
Its usually when someone else looks at it that the judgements of “correctness” tend to get pronounced. Coming from HO (HOn30) I have been on the recieveing end of harsh criticism of “rightness” regarding some of my early attempts at kitbashing, so I’m a bit leary of passing judgement of anyone elses layout.
SO if it looks OK to you to have an consist of a AMS boxcar, a HLW combine, an AC streamline car, a couple of Bachmann passenger cars, some USA freight cars and an LGB caboose, all being pulled by a Bachmann Connie, a USA GP9, and being lead by Thomas the Tank engine…?

I agree with all of you! Sometimes I run my Porters, sometimes Chloe, sometimes the LGB industrial steamers, and the trains vary…LGB shorty cars, scratchbuilt cars, etc. It’s my RR and I just run whatever I feel like at the time. After all, the bottom line is: FUN!!!

Being seriouse Cloe is LGB cat No 20130 a very small 0-4-2 locomotive owned by Ward Kimble.
it is an ex Hawian(spelling??) sugar cane engine and now out of production
i believe however the Hawian version is still avalable I believe.

Try an LGB 22130 on page 58 of the LGB cattledog, and the little open carriages that go with it are very quaint and cute.31430 on page 82, but ithink they (the carriages) are out of production. Actually i wouldn’t mind a set of them myself.
We have something very like this in 1:1 scale here in SE Queensland at the BIG PINEAPPLE, as a fun ride for tourists.
