Very nice. Tell us about those engines.

Got yourself a couple of real brutes there. Real beauties Exactly what are they, don’t know a lot about Western steam power.
Awesome pics Jon!!!

The prototypes were the crown jewels of the ATSF’s steam fleet. The Northerns (as far as I am aware) outlasted any other type of steam locomotive on the Santa Fe roster.
nice pics and engines those are 2 beauties. what are those called as i can see 4-8-4 other than that what are they called. is that similar to the allehgany. that’s what has caught my eye. i dont have any steams but i’m looking to get one just to say i have one.
Thanks, Guy’s!! The 3751 is a 3rd Rail 4-8-4.
The 5011 is a 3rd Rail 2-10-4.
NICE JON,

Some nice looking brutal power you’ve got there! [C):-)]
Isn’t the old roadbed with the ties just a wonderful scenic effect. Well done, Jon!
Can’t tell if those are Baldwin locomotives or not however Santa Fe ordered many steam locomotives from Baldwin Locomotive Works. Looking though a book on Baldwin Locomotives and ran across the A.T.& S.F. name alot. Third Rail Brass makes some very nice locomotives from what I have heard, personally can not afford them.
