Anyone with an early 20th century layout set in winter might be interested in this.

I found this picture last year of a rural eastern PA mail sleigh. The pic seems to have been taken in the 60’s or 70’s, but the sleigh is OLD.

The sign on the front of the sleigh states: 1903 hose-drawn mail vehicle owned & used by R. Rea Lawton to deliver mail on RD #1.

There is a similar wheeled mail wagon on display at the Railroad Museum of PA in Strasburg. SImilar vintage, too.
