Rural Retreat was the site of an incredibly atmospheric recording by Link. A J-led passenger train arrives in town as a local church plays Christmas carols on its bells, and then departs after a brief stop. One can so easily imagine the feelings of the passengers as they detrain–perhaps returning home?–on Christmas eve.
