Pictures, please?

I was there in 2010, it certainly could use the update, but I hope the keep the SP Sunset Route logo on the waiting room benches. Even then I thought the building impressive.

This sounds like a realistic and affordable (for a change) project. Congratulations to the City of Sacramento!

I slept in the "blue room"of the Sacramento Station when it was the terminal for the Sacramento Daylight; I had loaned-out to the Stockton seniority District; they had run out of passenger qualified fireman for the Sacramento Daylight and the San Joaquin Daylights…
A close to “Grand” building.
The story allows picturing the place…
Those references to “rows of back offices.”
The building also was the headquarters of the Sacramento Division, Division officers, Dispatchers, Maintenance of Way, etc. and maybe Sacramento General Shops, A vibrant building in the 40’s and 50’s.

It is my understanding that the UP has moved the tracks away from the back of the depot. I certainly hope the tracks are brought back to where they were before. It makes it tough on handicapped people when they have to walk a long way from the depot to the train and vice versa.
