Sadly, another switching fatality

UTU member said killed in switching accident
LOS ANGELES - Conce P. Campbell, a member of UTU Local 811 in San Bernadino, Calif., was killed in a switching accident the afternoon of Jan. 26 after he reportedly slipped under a BNSF train at Terminal Island.
Los Angeles police said Campbell, 52, the father of six adopted children, died at the scene.

A UTU member, Campbell was working under a BLET contract with a private switching company.

another fallen brother… its bad enough that some druged up A$$hole had to screw up killing himself and takeing the life of civilians as well as fellow brethern…now another brother falls in the line of duty… 05 is off to a great start…

My sympathies go to his family. We are hearing way too much of this, this
early in the New Year.

This is really sad,and on a day that was already touched by tragedy[:(].

Before i believe this I need the actual report… the union never lets out that kind of infomation on the person such as 6 adopted children and the news paper wouldnt care what union he belongs to. it sound to me like it is posibly the works of the utu propoganda again which does not suprise me.

Believe what you want. As I said, I posted from the UTU site so I’m sure they added to the original newspaper story.
