good luck with the steam test and i look forward to seeing pictures of the loco running in the near future Charles Coleman England
Great 1385 is almost done also so its gonna be great.
This is great news, I run & fire her sister locomotive Polson Logging Co, #70, at Mt. Rainier Scenic RR (mrsr.com) Polson Logging Co., later Rayonier (1945) both locomotives served at Hoquiam, WA. #70 (1922) was built new for them, as #2 (1912) was built new for Saginaw Timber, but was purchased later by Polson. With #2, #70, # 110 at Black Hills Central, this brings 3 former Rayonier loco’s in service.
Tim has good information on sister engines from Rayonier, but a fourth engine from Rayonier has also been steaming at Mt. Rainier Scenic RR for more than two years. It is #2 from the Clallam Operation at Sekiu, Washington. This engine happens to be the last geared locomotive constructed by Willamette in Portland, Oregon. Several other Rayonier steamers are preserved at scattered locations.
Larry, how dumb of me to forget #2, I run her 2-3 times each operating season.
