Anybody on this forum know where I can get a Dec 1945 SAL Passenger Timetable? I went to the show last weekend in Concord but could only find a Sept 1943 SAL PTT. I need the Dec 1945 SAL PTT for some research i am doing on a train wreck. if you can help please reply to: < bo_yates@yahoo.com>
You might try Ebay, but that would be quite a stretch to find one. Take a look in Trains Magazine classified ads. There are a number of folks who buy and sell timetables…you might try there.
I have a December 1946 Official Guide which would have the listings. If that would work let me know what you need.
Mentioning my 1946 Official Guide reminds me that there are several Railroad libraries, such as the John Barringer in St. Louis that have large collections of OG’s.
I would give them a call and see if they can assist you. Google in John Barringer library…you should get a hit.
There should be a historical society covering SAL, ACL, and SCL; you can find them in the listing of historical societies elsewhere on this website. The usual caveat: they’re a volunteer organization, and responses to such questions might take time.
