I am about ready to let a $300,000 contract for the renovation of the 1874 SAL station here in Matthews NC (originally Carolina Central) The Town owns the station and will be diong the work as a bigget downtown project- a couple of questions:
-were SAL stations always white?
-were they any other color in the past
-does anyone in their collections have photos taken on the SAL (CSX) between Monroe NC and Charlotte NC? Would we be able to copy them if you do?
