San Juan on the MW&W Railroad
Very nice elevated railway. I like the use of aluminum for your bridge and some of the sub-roadbed. The water feature has a very relaxing sound as does the soft chirping of the birds.
Excellent video…great looking railroad! Curious about the watertower. I have an idea of how it’s constructed, but would like you to tell us please.
The watertower is a 2lb coffee can with wood strips glued vertically, then painted. Copper wire serves as the cable stays. The support is 3/4" square lumber. The roof is a circular piece of plywood with 8 triangular plywood “rafters”. The shingles are actual 1:1 shingle material cut and glued to the rafters. No plans. Just made it up as I went along. It was inspired by finding a 2lb coffee can in the trash and thinking it had about the right proportion for a tank.
Very well done
Beautiful setting. This video I really enjoyed.
Very nice modeling – including the water tank – and landscaping. I especially ilk the running water. Good job!
Very pleasant and quiet surroundings. Nice to look at. Lots of plants and trees to keep things private, too.
Awesome!
Just BEAUTIFUL!
THE COFFEE CAN IS MUCH TO SMALL FOR THE SCALE, OVERALL THE LAYOUT SEEMS GREAT.
I liked the bridge and the water feature nice looking layout. You need a phoniex sound to add i little train noise. i bet it is nice too sit out in the evening and watch your train and listen to the water.
Wish I had the space great!!!
As much fun to watch as it was to build, I’m sure! Are you planning to expand your “scenes” with people etc. or just keep it simple? Did you build this in stages? If so, any tips for beginners (especially with regards to the water feature…)?
Great and a beautiful garden and scenes all around
compliment , great railroad, I like it
Beautiful layout, garden, video. Simple but effective elevation. Thanks.
Aces all round! I have lived about 300 m. from the CN mainline, Windsor to Toronto nearly 60 years. I have seen the glory of steam to today’s two story Go Trains. It makes my day to watch a great display like todays
LOVE YOUR RAILROAD, BRIDGES ARE GREAT, REMINDS ME OF THE DURANGO AND SILVERTON.
Great railroad and scenery. Please populate the engine and cars and the station. Thanks. Keep up the good work.
