link in topic to original blog reporting it. This is a serious BUMMER.

That’s too bad. Between Al and The Favorite Spot, those were my two favorite Evilbay sellers.

This place will be missed on both sides of the pond. I have a loco and some sets of metal wheels which came from that source.

[:(]

I just picked up another set of wheels (my fifth) from Al before the word gets out the bidders go nuts. Its too bad someone else couldn’t keep the store running. I hope Al has a happy retirement with lots of time to play with trains!

Thanks for posting. If it was not for this website, I would have found out too late. It has been a pleasure for me shopping at San Val and buying from Al on ebay. San-Val will be missed. First Allied Trains (ok - - so it has ‘moved’) and now this! Two big surprises.

Sorry to hear but mans got to go his way. Enrich his life more with the wife and grandkids.

Keep checking that MLS web site (listed in the original posr) for news… there is some better news now!

The only good news I saw was that He’ll keep selling his own products online, but the store will only be open for about a month, till they sell off everything including the shelves!

Go On-Line to his store !

Sounds like the cost of a “brick & morter” store in the age of the internet was too much.

He has a long list of SALE items and repeats that he will still make the Ball Bearing Wheels among othe items.
