Sanborn map of Winchester Va

Could anyone please provide me a source for Sanborn map of Winchester Virginia? Online and free is preferable.

Are you a resident of Virginia? I believe the Library of Virginia has such maps available to Virginians.

See my P.M.

Another excellent source, would be the United States Geological Survey, historic maps collection, for prototype railroad information.

By State.

By area, County and or Parish (Louisiana Only).

By city, township and so forth.

By year.

Wonder where a siding was located in Anytown U.S.A., that served the Billy Club Plant, in 1958?

You may just find the information on the historic maps collection.

Take a look at their respective site.

If you go to the Handley Library located in Winchester Va. they have all of the Sanborn maps digitized for you to download on your thumb drive. We had a member of our club the Winchester Model Railroad club do thiS for a module project we are doing.

thanks, I will be making a road trip to Winchester

Oh…by all means go to the USGS online. You can get historical topographic maps for free download. I do this often to check out trackage of the Reading…up to 125 years ago.
