Sand business propels Illinois Railway

This is what happens when new drilling technology is not stopped by the environmentalists.

I live near this line and wonder if there might be an increase in the number of trains between Ottawa and Aurora. They send one train per day from Ottawa to the BNSF’s Eola yard and back. I would be nice to see a 2nd train that ran during daylight. This line follows the Fox River more less between Montgomery south of Aurora to Ottawa and has some senic spots. Right now the train that does run does so after dark most of the time.

Don’t kid yourself. Their trying to stop all of it by putting fear
into us about the process, i. e.: earthquakes, polluting the
water, etc. The more oil we can get into the market, the
cheaper it will be, and thereby, the cheaper the gasoline.
That is, if we can get the oil companies to cooperate by not
messing with the system. We’re caught between the environ-
mentalists (a lot of them don’t really care about the environ-
ment, by the way; just about controlling us), out current
administration and the oil companies. I don’t want the
government involved in it, anyway. The free market can
take care of itself.
