I am interested to identify the prototype for the Overland Models Sanding Service Centre #3365 / #3365.1 and/or the railroads that use/d them and the period during which they are/were used. Thanks.
If you can’t get an answer here, you might post this link:
http://www.modeltrains.com/PICTURES/PICTURES%20-%20Brass/Overland/bulletin-omi/om-p1489.jpg
over in the “Trains” section of the forums. And maybe change the title to “Where did/does this sanding tower live?”
You might also do an image google search for “sanding tower” and similar terms.
It does have a lot of safety railings, so that would put it, for me, post 1970, or so. And the model was imported in 1999, so it existed before then.
Neat lookin’!!!
