Santa Fe Question

While sitting beside the yard close to where she works, my wife called to tell me there was a locomotive there, a Santa Fe, and she hadn’t seen one of those in our area. The only information she could give me was that it’s number was 695.

Is number 695 a C44-9W?

There are two pictures posted at Fallen Flags. One lists it as a C449W and the other a D9. http://rr-fallenflags.org/atsf/atsf695ajs.jpg

Jim, I take a lot of ribbing from my friends around here about all the road names I have. Let’s see, there’s Norfolk & Western, Norfolk Southern, Southern, GM&O, Union Pacific (about two weeks ago I saw two UP mu’ed engines trotting down the NS lines)… hmmmm… I’m leaving somebody out I know… but you’re right, Santa Fe here I come!
