I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a Santa Fe system map that shows other railroads on it as well, pre BN merger, and pre SPSF proposed merger. I am modeling a small Santa fe point to point railroad and want to try to incorporate another road into my model.
Nonetheless, I can not find anything on the internet except the BNSF map and some topographic maps and pre-1900s maps. I really want something that shows the Santa fe from about 1965 to 1975. I appreciate any help or direction anyone can offer.

A couple of thoughts:
- Any ASTF map from the era should help you. Try the historical society page
2, An Official Railroad Equipemt Register (ORER) will list every interchange the railroad had.
A few years ago, the Santa Fe Modelers (now Santa Fe Rwy Historical and Modeling Society) had an all-time historical Santa Fe system with every line that ever existed, when built, and when abandoned, sold, merged, etc. No info on connecting foreign lines. Best source for that is Equipment Registers. Any particular area or connecting railroad you are interested in? This is vast subject with dozens of different maps for different eras
For instance, I do Santa Fe in East Texas. Kirby Lumber Company ran log trams over Santa Fe rails between mill at Silsbee and several loading sites.
I’d like to hear your idea about a “small point to point” Santa Fe line. Do you mean a branch of the Santa Fe, like the one from Evadale, Texas to Oakdale, Louisiana?
Basically, I guess my layout is a swithching layout with dual mailine and sidings for a passenger station and various industries. It is similar to a layout featured in last months Model Railroader of which the title was something like" Railroading in the big city". It will have “offstage” staging it has a bridge and interchange that don’t really go anywhere.
