Sarah's EASTERN WHERE IS IT??????????

OK This is the answer to all the midwestern and western where is its…IT"S THE EAST COAST WHERE IS IT, to all those people out there who geographicly (sp?) challenged to the midwest and west coast.

Now…I know this may fool you due to the fact that the locomotive featured here is an ex Santa Fe unit, but I ASURE YOU it’s in the EAST COAST. Think of some places that have lots of diversified traffic. You don’t have to name the exact city but, maybe pretty close. Enjoy.

No linky worky.

Working fine now- way to go, Sarah! I have no clue, so I’ll leave it for the easterners here instead of trying to guess every big city out there (and I know you’ve been to quite a few of them).

…Finally, some eastern “where is it” stuff…Sorry can’t help on this one. But keep it coming.

I have to disqualify myself from this one (except to say that Sarah didn’t travel too far afield to get it–which narrows it down to about four states!).

ocala FL?

Morrisville Pa?

That scene could be any number of states in the mid east. The bridge was very common.

Im afraid that there is not enough information to pin this one down.

This is like the ancient TV show “What’s my Line?” I think (a dangerous thing) we’re on the ex-B&O in Brunswick MD?? No.(one down, four to go) All the ex-PRR lines are out-no run through power allowed because ya need locomotives with cab signals…(two down, three to go) Reading? naah. I’ll say it’s the B&O main in Maryland. Williamsport MD?

matthewsaggie,definitely not Fl.
Carl,it was not an interstate trip.
PBenham,I’d sort of R/O Md.

Mutt, I had a reason for disqualifying myself. I know that what you said to me is true. Sounds like you know the location, too.

Seems to resemble the WM line between Balto. MD and Hanover, PA. The bridge looks familiar.

  1. Sarah- you rock!

  2. Is it near Philadelpia?

lol, that’s a good answer, Murphy…

Carl,I’ve already totally been disqualified from answering this one. I was told I Could give hints![;)]
But I was also THREATENED WITH MY LIFE if I totally gave up the right answer!!![:O][:-,]

Murph,it is in the Greater Philadelphia area,so you are close within X number of square miles[:D]

Is it on the Trenton Line?

I don’t think the overpass looks like it’s been undercut for stacks. Aren’t there stacks on the Shortline/Trenton Line these days? Looks like double track. Can’t be cab signal territory because of ATSF leader. No catenary, so not SEPTA territory. Maybe there is enough clearance for DS? Between Phila and Reading somewhere? Birdsboro?

Hmmmm…need more clues.

Well I guess I will give you guys some more clues. It is in the greater Philadelphia area. It isn’t anywere near Trenton, NJ. It’s sort of on the outskirts of Philadelphia heading west. This line does go through Reading, an into Harrisburg, PA.

I hope I gave enough clues, if I give more I’ll give the location away.

It looks like the old Reading RR line between Norristown and Phoenixville.

You’re getting a bit warmer, but you might want to try a different southerly track.[%-)]
