I wish to know where I could easily find lots of scale drawings, blueprints, diagrams, etc. of various things, like rolling stock, motive power, buildings, etc. Is there a website or book that i could look at?

Back issues of Model Railroader. Used to be Model Railroader had a prototype article with drawings in every issue. I noticed they might be going back to this, the July issue had a prototype article with drawings for the first time in years. Back issues turn up at train shows for about a buck an issue.
Years ago I had a 8 12 by 11 inch one off softcover book that was nothing but prototype drawings, some 70 pages of them. The title was something like “Prototype Plans for Model Railroaders”. I no longer have that book, it disappeared somewhere between college and the Air Force and a few other moves, and I miss it a lot. I keep hoping it will turn up at a train show some time.
