Very nice work Lion.
Very cool, Brother!
New camera? Old camera? The first photo with the last cars having the movement looks really good. Gives the sense of reality and movement.[Y]
Old Camera, old photos, reprocessed and cropped.

Very Nice! [bow]
Here I was, all ready to see a “figure-bash” combination of this with this and again you disappoint, Lion. Bad Form Lion, NO zebras for you!
Also, I was going to complain about the subway station’s missing steps in the second image, when I realized - “76th Street”?!? You’ve been on Suchat wayyy too long to try to get away with that one, Lion. Very bad form*
*For those of you sane people who have no idea why “76th Street?”, reveiw this website - paying careful attention to the posting date at the end…
The Brooklyn-Queens boundary in that area is very interesting. The land mass in Brooklyn is at a much higher elevation than that in Queens. Pitkin Avenue drops at least 30 feet in elevation as it crosses the boundary. The subway line, trying to keep itself under the road had to also dive down where I am told that water is a big problem there.
Apparently before the last ice age, the Hudson river did not flow where it is now, but rather cut across Long Island between Flushing Meadow (the old World’s Fair site) and this part of the Rockaways.
The location of the Hudson Canyon bears this out. What is pictured here as an underwater shelf used to be above the ocean level, with the ocean beginning where that deep drop is located. The dimensions of the Hudson Canyon are greater than that of the Grand Canyon, and the “river current” in that deep canyon is just as strong now as it ever was.

“Like!” => Pics don’t look like models.
tgindy’ I had also that that on a lot of the pictures.
The shot of the passing cars gives me the feel of standing next to the track as they go by.
