There are only two scale models of Industrial Dust Collectors that I have found on the internet.
One is a large Dust Cyclone made by RIX.
The other is a three unit Dust Cyclone set produced by Walthers.
There are many other variations on Dust Cyclones used by trackside industries.
I was thinking of scratchbuilding some based on ones I have seen in person and close-ups on the world wide web.
Has anyone scratchbuilt dust collectors from parts and peices they have found?
Andrew
Get in touch with a diabetic! I haven’t modeled one, but the safety cap off Byetta needles would make a perfect top - maybe part of the syringe for the body too!![8D]
The injection pens do have an interesting cover that resembles dust cyclones.

BYETTA (bye-A-tuh) is the first in a class of medicines for type 2 diabetes called incretin mimetics. BYETTA is an injectable medicine used to improve glucose (blood sugar) control in adult

Andrew,
I found some the other day on the Model Tech Studios web site
http://mts.inline.net/merchant.ihtml?pid=672&lastcatid=6&step=4
Hunt around in the details section as they have more than one style.
Those Model Tech Studio ones are close enough. They are made in several scales and there is a pre-assembled versions of some of them. I will have to get one.
I was looking for parts that look like the pyramid shape of those Dust Bagging Bins and found this at Target. I will have to check on the size next time I am at Target.

This is an example of a Baghouse built by CECO Environmental.
It would most likely have to be scratch-built.
Man, that’s a dust collector and a half!! The giant industrial size I guess!![:D]
The company BATECH makes dust collectors with a pyramid shape at the bottom.
To recreate this as a scale model one will need a plastic pyarmid.
The closest plastic pyramids found online are from a place called Looney Labs.
Looney Labs offers the Treehouse plastic pyramid game that is availble in gaming shops. They might be located near hobby shops (or former hobby shops) in most large retail areas.
They are molded in a clear polystyrene. Painting will be required.

Scale models ARE industrial dust collectors…
