Scale question on Case 340 Articulated Truck v. Cat 315C Excavator

Is it me or is the scale on the 340 not 1:87 as stated on various websites and in print on the package it comes in?

Reason I ask is that I have both and when compared to the 315C and the rest of my 1:87 equipment, the 340 seems to be out of scale (larger - closer to 1:64 possibly).

I haven’t seen either of the 1/87 models, but the Case 340 is the largest articulated truck they make and the Cat 315 is one of the smallest excavators that Cat makes. It might be possible that the size of the 315 makes the 340 seem bigger.
