I am sure that a Fuchsia / Gold Dash-8 is not yet for sale, so you will have to make it yourself. Buy a few spray cans and get some practise on a cheap engine from Ebay first.
Please post the photo’s, I am curious to see this new style girls train if you are finished. Sounds like a fun Toy train engine project.
BTW, nephew-kiddies that look down on Toy trains! What a disdain. I hope you are able to teach those two a little lesson soon.
X2 for me. I have a mix of scale and non-scale rolling stock. Enough so that I can use non-scale stuff for my 671/681/682 locos, and scale stuff for the scale-size locos. But if you look at real trains, some stock is big and some is small. If you mix them up in a train where a non-scale car is directly behind the non-scale loco, and then a ways back scatter some scale cars, it’s not even noticeable. [tup]
My sister has informed me that the kids are beginning to grumble about how puny their HO N&W J looked next to my Railking GS-4…all is not lost. [;)]
About a Dash-8 in fuchsia and gold…I’ve re-thought it. Maybe a scale Big Boy in those same colors–the incongruity appeals to my weird side. It’s not high on my priority list, so don’t expect to see it any time soon…which probably is a blessing. [:D]
Donna, I’m not so sure you really need to go the “fuschia” route!!! There’s plenty of colorful liveries out there that really existed!!![:)] I have a weak spot for Milwaukee’s color scheme, myself!
Fucshia and Gold. Sounds like a 1970’s singing group.
I’ve always liked the Milwaukee Road color scheme as well. My pick for worst scheme has to be Chessie’s rainbow scheme. Looks like a train wearing an old Houston Astros uniform! [(-D]
