Scanner Frequencies

I was recently given a scanner and was wondering if anyone had information as to where to find scanner frequencies for railroads in a given area. I have looked on the internet and most places that have them want me to pay money.[:(] Any ideas? Thanks.

If you have the capacity program the whole AAR set.
Start with 160.215 and add .015 to each succesive freq

160.215
160.230
160.245
160.260
160.275
160.290
160.305
160.320

All the way up to 161.565

Oh I forgot the EOT freqs
452.925
452.950
457.9375

Yes.you wouldn’t know how to get it off of the HAM fre.I just got a new one from radio shack and it was working ok,but for some reason it is stuck on144.0150.Itried all the buttons but to no avail. Thanks’'dave[?]

Don’t forget:452.9375MHZ.

My site below has most of the smaller lines, and freqs for the bigger roads broken down for some areas. If anybody has a fairly complete list for their area, I’d like to add it to the site.

For Wisconsin and Illinois frequencies, I recommend this website, run by frequent Trains.com poster, Keith Schmidt:
