I thought it was more difficult. You gave me the basis to start my layout.
Hi, I am a begginer, but this information is very important for me. Thanks a lot…
You have never needed to be an artist to create good scenery.
thats why I can do it.
Good to see the newer ways of doing things though I do wonder about the need for some of it.
Keep that information flowing always usefull to go back to basics some times and keep up with the times for some things.
Many thanks.
i love working on my railroad so read all i can all of this helps out
really great tips continue the good work,
Model railroading is awsome Im into a few things do models trucks also,I find doing the scenery etc etc relaxing and the finish product is something you can say you did yourself, saw a dvd few yrs back think it was from woodlands scenic on doing scenery they said you can not mess it up just respary with wet water etc and go over it again,Iv practiced a lot and my results look ok.
When in this whole process would you recommend detailing the rails and ballasting the track? I am trying scenery for the first time and am just trying to work this out on a couple of FreeMo modules I am building.
New at this , have been collecting for a while. The expense of videos is something as i am retired and can not keep paying for all the videos to help for scenery and track laying and such. Is there a way to get info with out paying a fortune. BLESSED THANKS
I am very much the opposite to an artist, I have trouble drawing stick figures. The info in the article makes me want to start building and it gives me the confidence to do the work.
I’m new to this but I love these articles and btw, I don’t plan to ballast tracks until I’ve already dressed up the ground/area around that section of track
Just joined, just retired and I have a grandson that is just crazy about trains! I appreciate the comments and ideas. I am looking forward to planning and making my first train scenery and layout for us to enjoy. I enjoyed HO scale, electric, slot cars when I was young.
I love adding scenery to dioramas, but I haven’t started it on my new layout, but these pictures have gaven me some ideas!
I was inspired by you guys from Model Railroader and start to remodel (totally changed) my 30 year old scenery using many of your ideas and new materials. Thanks!
