Has anyone tried “Flexrock”? It’s supposed to be some kind of flexible rock castings that can be glued in place.
I have one of these:

It is just propped in place at the moment. It looks pretty good, but it is a lot darker than my hydrocal rocks, so I am still deciding if I like it. It is VERY soft and flexible, but you wouldn’t know it unless you touched it. I also have one of their flexible stone walls, and I like that product a lot.
I bought some of these “wubber wocks” about a year ago at a train show. I have installed one small section right near the edge of the layout, and I didn’t have to worry about plaster dripping down the fascia. I have two pieces that will form a “cut” in the next scenery expansion, but it appears that I need to make sure of the size of the church kit I just bought to make sure that I have a enough flat acreage for the chapel.
Quality is very good. Detail is very good. Very easy to work with. As Phoebe Vet mentioned, the color is dark, but it does look very much like a rock outcropping in the coal country of West Virginia or SW Virginia. It does take acrylic paint, but testing on a scrap piece is needed: since the “wubber wock” is darker to start with, the same wash of color that one uses on carved plaster will come out darker.
