I’m thinking about scratch building a brass On30 D&RG K-37 does anyone have any ideas on where to find parts and super detailed plans?
The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad has a K-37 in operable condition. They may be able to help you with the info you need.
You are very brave!!! That being said I remember seeing drawings in an old MR but can’t remember if it is that or one of the others like a K-27. Someone with the DVD’s could look it up.
PSC is your primary source of O scale parts relevant to a K-37 build.

They have printed catalogs for sale (hooray!) but also have an online catalog (300+ page pdf, so could take awhile to download):

Wiseman Model Services has some O scale parts from The Back Shop (made detail parts for PFM) :

Echo Mountain has some potentially relevant stuff:

Browsing any copy of the Narrow Gauge & Short Line Gazette will provide other leads.
The Model Railroader that rrebel is referring to is the October 1979 issue and the drawings are of the K-37.
Good luck with your ambitious project.
Cheers, the Bear.
Doable, for sure, but a bold stroke in bashing that will require a good bit of effort. This kind of modeling is what used to serve as proof you were a dyed-in-the-wool narrow gauger. Most everything used to have to be scratch built or bashed.
All the best in your up-hill effort.
Glad it was for the right engine.
