Scratch Built Bruises

Hey Guys:
I’m scratch building a brewery. I just cut my 32nd window this evening. Is there an easier way to cut through Walther’s brich sheets to make windows and shipping/receiving bays other than a standard Exacto knife with a #11 blade? The sheets are fairly thick and my hands feel the way then did when I had to write “I wont talk during class” 1000 times on the blackboard after school in 5th grade.

Just wondering.

Could you use a paper cutter? It’s like shooting rabbits with an elephant gun, but once you know how to line up the stock, you should be okay if the blade is a good one.

Hey, I’m just throwing out ideas.

drill them round and cut the corners

Micro-Mark (www.micromark.com) has a 90 degree corner punch in their catalog. Page 45 of the Early Winter 2006 catalog. Two different sizes. A tad pricey, but it may be worth the work it will save you.
Item 81652 with 5/16" cutting edges - $25.75
Item 82394 with 3/16" cutting edges - $23.45

save that #11 knife for the womans work it was designed for.

get yourself a stanley brand carpenters utility knife with the quick change blades. men cut all day long with these accurately, and don’t tire or cut themselves.
