scratch built cactus

Recently while reading MR, i ran across an article on scratch built cactus using pipe cleaners, as luck would have it i lost the issue[xx(], and my idea for area setting is in the northern sonora desert, since i lived there some time, can anybody help me there by maybe sending a copy of the article, or any ideas on using pipe cleaners[:D] as primary building mateial for trees, or cactus
