I know it’s crass to ASK for something in the very first post, but…
I seem to recall that in the mid-nineties, MR had a multi issue “Build your own brass locomotive” series.
I wonder if anyone has the ability to photocopy the entire article. I need clear copies, and will pay what is fair. I have no need of the entire magazines.
Bill, Model Railroader had a series from Oct. to Dec. 1997 by Steven Anderson on scratchbuilding a brass 4-6-0. You could probably get decent quality reprints from Kalmbach, the publishers of MR. Any issue of MR has a phone number on the editorial page I believe.
Both the NMRA library and Kalmbach can provide you with photocopies of these articles, at posted rates.
Or you might be able to find them at a large library in your area.
Failing that, you can get copies of old magazines at dealers, or possibly through Kalmbach.
Providing photocopies of these articles to you without compensating the copyright owner would be a violation of the “fair use” of a copyrighted article. While I can have photocopies of copywritten materials made for my own use, for instance, to keep the article in a binder, or keep a working copy of a set of plans, it isn’t legal for me to distribute photocopies to anyone else.
