Just started but I can already tell this will be a l-o-n-g project … especially since I’m a newbie and really don’t know what the heck I’m doing !!!
After starting one of the side walls with 4 big windows, I realized I had never made windows and had to figure it out quick ! Decided to create the windows using an Excel spread sheet and printing it out onto overhead foil material … came out pretty good.
Have 2 walls that are done enough to at least lean against each other to get an idea of sizing, etc.

With a loco for scale

really nice work on the model , but i have to ask … it looks like the loco is too big to fit through the doorway of the engine house . is it ? or is it just an optical delusion ? [:)]
Valid question about clearance … fortunately, there is about 3 scale feet all around as shown :

I’m really impressed! Can we expect a local departing for Squawbottom anytime soon?
Have fun with our project!
Good idea. Imagine what John Allen could have scratch built using a computer. Also imagine what his photo work would be like.
ok it was just the angle the photo was taken at . i should have known that you’d thought about clearances before you started construction !
