hello. Wood, plastic, cardstock, MDF, they all are useful, is up to anyone how the fill in a confort zone, I make my wagons, buildings taken from fotographs and the laser cut them in any of the materials I mentioned, it depends how you fill with them, specially Wood used for lamination of Wood panels, the miriad of types and colors help you to blend and need not to paint. hope this heps you.
