Greetings everyone. I am new here and am very impressed with the knowledge and techniques used by all modelers on this site. My question is when I am assembling structures, such as a girder how do you set up and glue it without it sticking to the suface you are working on?
Welcome to the forum. I use waxed paper. Clear plastic wrap will work with water based glues like woodworkers glue, but will not work with any of the plastic or solvent based glues or CA.
Brilliant! I never thought of that. Thats why I asked here. Thanks alot!
Waxed paper is also handy when cutting out decals, dry transfers and clear styrene. Place it under your ruler or cutting guide and you won’t scratch the surface of what you are cutting.
The plastic cement that I use does not stick to glass. So I have a small piece of glass that I use to glue stuff on.
There are all rocking good suggestions - it’s a great pitty I had never thought to use any of them in the past. I will from now on though.[8D]
