Photobucket and others are not applications that you install. They are services provided by people who want to show you ads in exchange for the service of hosting photos on the internet for the purpose of placing them in places like this and others such as e-bay.
Some undoubtedly have a download component to make this easier but you do not need it. Tinypic.com might be a good choice.

Hit the PrtSc button at the top of your keyboard. Go into a paint program and paste your screenshot into the app. Crop if desired and then resize your image. Save the image. Upload the image to Photobucket. Copy the direct URL address. In this forum, hit the Image icon and paste the URL into the box. Voila.

Just go to Photobucket and create an account. Upload your pictures into albums. Posting as described (hover over pic, copy IMG paste in your post.
This will help you a lot.
This is a pic of part of my RR showing the Bachman Doodlebug via PHOTOBUCKET, do you see any advertising?

LION is referring to the ads on the Photobucket site when you are viewing and uploading, just like the ones on the right side of your screen as you view this ----------------------->
If you use Firefox with Adblock you won’t see ANY ads unless YOU want to see them.
The ads are not on the photos, you get to look at them when you upload your photos. Some record your email address and that is where you will begin to see the ads.

I use IE8 with a pop-up blocker and I don’t see any extraneous ads to the right of this site. (?)
Mark.
I use Linux Mint 14, Mate, Operating System.
Firefox, 18.0 with Adblock Plus, 2.2.1 and Flashblock 1.5.15.1
No problem here with ads in Photo Bucket.
