HI has anyone had problems with thier loco. [xx(] I have had mine for about six months and I notice a high pitched squeal after about a half an hour of run time. I took off the cover and noticed the ring gear on traction axle stripped. The thing that is strange is its engineered to have way too much tolerance in the gear box. I don’t like the articalated wheels in the front and rear is the sd45 the same set up or are the 6 wheels in the same gear box. thanks SCOTT

e-mail a photo of the damaged part to USAT and they will send a new part.
My two SD40-2 have run fine for years once I got rid of the rubber tires and put new wheels on them.
the SD 45 is a single motor block. really nice.
