Hi to everyone here, I am new to the forums here, so please do bear with me!
I caught this diesel yesterday here in lawton, Oklahoma, and after searching through the forum folders on locomotives here back to page 12 http://cs.trains.com/forums/1207072/ShowPost.aspx, I found this article in which nsrayman posted a picture of a what is now a former Norfolk Southern SD-40 with a high-short nose (am I correct on what it is called?). It is very similar to the one I was able to photograph, and it also appears that it might have once been a NS diesel, despite a few physical differences such as in the windows and so forth like that. Also if I recall correctly, Stillwater Central is currently operating on the line through Lawton, and recently they have begun to use a great deal more SD-40 units rather than the older geeps they have always used in the past, four to be precise including this one, although I have no idea what former rail lines the other three came from, have included links to the photos of them too here. But I would very much appreciate it if someone could confirm my thoughts on the diesel I caught! Thanks.

Thanks, you are correct in that it could be a Southern Railway diesel, or even a Norfolk Western Diesel as trainfan1221 suggested, although I am leaning more towards N&W mostly due to the spots where you can tell they painted over with black.
yeah the Stillwater Central does employ a diverse range of diesels, from former Canadian National, Kansas & Oklahoma, and others of which I do not know where they came from, once there was a bright yellow GP-30 sitting in the yard downtown with the words “REMOTE CONTROL” on the sides of the cab; SC which is controlled through WATCO if I remember correctly, uses diesels with WAMX listed on them, although a lot of such lingo I never have really understood nor researched ^_^;;
here are some other pictures of the diesels they run through Lawton with:
That’s an interesting railroad you have there! I wish it came through by me. I’ve got to admit I never heard of it, is it a regional? Looks like quite an operation.[?]
WATCO is regional if I remember right, I know ya can find out on their website thats for certain, they have a list there of the railroads they operate that I do know. And yeah they sure do have a diverse range of diesels that come through!
