You might be able to find an old Proto Power West shell. Otherwise, Athearn may offer their shell (which is probably the PPW shell) for sell by itself, although I do not know if Athearn sells parts for RTR cars/locomotives.
Come to think of it, I don’t remember if PPW made a SD50 shell.
Rail Power products made a SD60 Shell, If you can live with the difference, The new Athearn SD50 is all new tooling, not a re-release of the RPP Shell, and they did do a great job on it.
Yes I have 2 of the new Athearn RTR I like them! I have found Rail Pwoer SD60shells, but no pictures, are there any huge differences between SD50 - SD60?

It was a sad day on the Potomic Pass. C&O SD50 8562 was assigned to the “rock train”, on its way to drop off empties at Aughwick Valley Aggregate. A figure left by an unamed person [:I] [:-^] was laying between the gauges, caused a derail and unit 8562 fell about 48" to the floor…[V][:(][
