havent been on in a while but has anyone heard anythng about athearn’s gevos and ace’s any update or anything

Athearn hasn’t released anything like that yet. I don’t think they have announced anything. I purchased two of their SD70MAC’s recently that were made in their Genesis line painted for BNSF. They are nice units.

i know a while ago they came out and said they bought the castings from t55 and said tehy were going 2 run the SD70ace and the gevos its been like a year now since they announced that and i never heard anything else lol so i was just curious if anyone had the DL

No mention of the former Tower 55 models or the SD70-ace.

In one of my recent posts about MTH trains and their quality someone had mentioned that Athearn was coming out with some SD 70ace and M-2. I was also curious as to when these units would be coming out. I thought I remembered someone suggesting a summer 2010 timeline.

I did read one article that suggested that Athearn was fine tuning the details of the locos before sending them to production. One suggestion is to email Athearn to see what kind of response you get. Anytime I email them they have been pretty quick to respond.

As soon as the Norfolk Southern SD 70 M-2 drops I will have two to add to my roster.

thanks i knew i remembered hearing about them doing them cuz i got pretty excited when they anounce the bnsf gevos and ace’s ill have 2 get some 4 sure
