SD70ACe and SD70-2 orders

I want to see if I can (with your help of course [:)] ) compile an up-to-date list of all the new EMD orders from all the Railroads. As more orders come in I’ll simply just update the thread. So, what railroads have ordered the new EMDs and how many? I know of a few railroads but not the quanity.

So I’ll start off with
Norfolk Southern 52 SD70M-2’s
Union Pacific 115 SD70ACe’s
Montana Rail Link 16 SD70ACe’s

Please correct me if I’m wrong with any models or quanities [:)]

Welcome to the forums. Is your list just going to be for the USA ans Canada ?
There were 14 SD70ACe units just built for Broken Hill Proprietry-Austrailia.
The NS units are 2649-2700.
27 broad gauge SD70M locomotives were built for Companhia Vale do Rio Doce in Brazil and shipped through Halifax.
Are the 30 SD70ACes for KCS, 4000-4029, finished ?

Don’t forget about BNSF. They have 30 SD70ACe’s on order. Canadian National has released SD70M-2 #8000 from London. And about the KCS SD70ACe’s, No 4000 has been painted and heading for KCS rails.

Florida East Coast Rwy. has 4 SD70M-2s on order for delivery late in 2006 and 2 more for delivery in 2007.

Keep your eyes open on NS…NS has announced that it will order an additional 138 Locomotives in 2006…not specified yet whether will be GE or EMD, or both.

The 115 Union Pacific SD70ACe’s are numbers 8309 through 8423. #8423 was renumbered to #4141 in honor of President Bush #41.

The 16 Montana Rail Link SD70ACe’s will be numbered 4300 through 4315.

The first 14 BHP Billiton units are numbers 4300 to 4313.

They have placed an order for 10 more, numbers 4314 to 4323.
