SDL39 and GP30 dead in tracks But SW8 project (pictures)

Well as the title says my SDL39 and GP30 MILW projects are dead in their tracks. I need to pick up MILW orange and a form of Black paint. Along with electronic bells by one of detail companies. How ever I still have to add the coupler lift rings and bars to the GP30.

But My SW 8 project got a good start. I’m painting it up to be my private roads switcher. It started as RI #826 which I stripped with 90% Iso Prop alcohol. I then washed it painted everything primer then I painted the walkways black till I decided I’m gonna do some detailing to it. So here are some photos and descriptions.

I added Detail Associates wire coupler lift bars, and brackets. This is also for the rear of the unit. I know the lift bar is crooked i fixed it after the picture was taken and I’m to lazy to retake it.

Here I bent some .012 Brass wire and made handrails, I also had some hangers for them which was etched.

Here I did the same as above only thing I did was bent some grab irons for the side o hood out of .012 brass wire.

I will be spraying everything black that is on the walkways, and reprimering the shell luckily this primer goes on really thin.

Any comments welcomed

Is it my imagination or is your lift bar on upside down??

The pin lifter is fine. On older engines, just the down hanging part was there. Later FRA regs added the upper handle, so that a man on the steps can pull it and open the knuckle from a safe place. Some CN engines require pulling the pinlifter out to open the knuckle.[%-)].
