"Search" isn't working for me!!

I KNOW that there have been lots of posts with information on which glues to use for wood to foam. I have been “searching this forum” for half an hour and all I get is unrelated posts.

  1. What shoud I use to glue 4X8 plywood to 4X8 foam?
  2. how would I find that using a search function?
    Many thanks,
    BB

A lot of guys say Liquid Nails works best. White glue takes forever to dry because the air can’t get to it.
Tom

or latex adhesive caulk , the kind without the silicone i think

Don’t use the regular liquid nails, it will melt the foam!! There is a special liquid nails for projects that is compatible with foam. I have used this and latex caulk. I prefer the LN as it was easier to spread.

Bruce, every Canadian Tire and Home Hardware carries PL300. It is a latex caulk and adhesive that I used with success. Earlier, I heard others say they thought Liquid Nails for Projects took much longer to dry than they would have liked. I found the PL300 to be generally hard to spread, but I used it in a cool basement. It did a super job of gluing the foam sheeting to the plywood base, and foam to foam. It will take several hours to set up, and a few days to dry, so you can change your mind in as much as four hours without too much hassle…you’ll be able to pry up the last layer quite easily.

As for search, I’m afraid I have had the same rotten luck as you. Can’t figure out why.
