Searching for Oakland-Stockton Railroad Map

I’ve been doing some research on railroads in the San Francisco Bay Area, and data is coming a bit hard to come by. If anybody knows of a source for maps of the UP/WP/SP in the area, and especially from Oakland to Stockton, I’d appreciate it greatly.

Thanks.

Contact ACE Altamont Commuter Express and they can send you a timetable with map of the former SP/WP line that will give you between Stockton and San Jose. If you contact Amtrak California they will send you a time table and map that will cover between San Jose , Oakland, and Stockton that covers part of the former SP and AT&SF. The only line left is the Mococo Line that runs to Stockton via Tracy and Martinez.

How about he Altamont Press California Region Timetable? It’s a great resource [8D]

Joby, Steam Powered Video in England has atlases that show current and abandoned lines in all of the states and in most of Canada. Their maps do not show streets or roads.

www.spv.co.uk

The California-Nevada atlas has 8 mile to the inch maps of all the railroads, and 2 mile to the inch maps of San Francisco-Oakland, the South Bay, and Stockton (and other areas, which may not help you).

Go to MapQuest and put in Antioch, Ca for the city. If you follow that line it is the Mococo line which runs from Oakland to Stockton. As you zoom out and you will see the lines from the bay area to Stockton, including the Tracy line.

Wish I had seen this post before I spent the time finding information for your different request in the MR forums.

Altamont Press publishes railfan timetables for California. These include basic maps.
