Is there a way to search the messages in a forum for, say, any post containing the word “bridge” or any post with “bridge” in the title?
Sure is.
Look on the right side down a little ways and you should find a search box titled “Search or Community”.

Just below the Search our Community is a section called Popular Tags. You could try there too.
If you don’t find anything that answers your question, start a new thread with the subject in the title and ask it. someone will come up with some help I am sure.
