I guess I’m missing something here, but how does one do a search on the site on a particular subject?
On the right side of the page look for the box that says “Search our Community” It is very easy to overlook…sometimes I still forget where it is. LOL!!
Wow, that’s it? Meaning no disrespect, but whose brain child was that? Do programmers ever try using the programs/sites they create?
Thanks, Tim. The search feature works well, once found!
coolbet, I frequently have the same question. However, in my humble opinion, the confusingly-named “Search our Community__” *__ function is better than nothing, but certainly not great.
The key, as nearly as I can make it out, is initially to search for virtually any toy train-related item simply in order to bring up the next screen. Then page-down to the bottom of that screen and find “More Search Options” in red. Click on it and you should find a search screen that is more versatile and actually somewhat useful.
Anyone have a better approach?
* Contrast “Search our Community” to the “Search This Site” feature which seems to be at least partially restricted to subscribers to the magazine.
BF, yes, I found the additional link. Thanks. A better “idea” can be found at: Google Groups : rec.games.pinball newsgroup
