The origial writer deserves a lot of credit for choosing the term “modern energy.” Yes, there are lots of gay people in Capitol Hill and that’s certainly the inspiration for the hot pink streetcar. But there is also a long history of art, music, culture, and counterculture. Just as people are not one-dimensional, neither are neighborhoods. I think they chose the term to celebrate everyone and everything in the neighborhood.
Who cares about the sexual orientation of people in Capital Hill. that’s should be a non-issue in this forum.
How absolutely interesting that Inikon won this supply and made delivery, while the nearest streetcar supplier in Portland, “Oregon iron Works” cannot seem to deliver any of its Inikon-like clones for any of its contracted clients, at least not anything close to on time.
