Jeffery:

Comments such as this would be best kept to yourself. This is not a site for politics. One can only wonder about you.

His Oneness declared pipelines unsafe in order to keep the socialist pseudo-intellectual environ-mentalists happy. Capitalism is like electricity. It will find the path of least resistance. For profit freight railroads are the path of least resistance. As always, pseudo-intellectual socialists are so smart, they can’t comprehend this reality because they can’t comprehend economics.

Jeffery, your rant has nothing to do with this report. There are plenty of pipelines which could be tied into our there, but the key to using rail is the ability to deliver your product to where the best price will be paid for it, and the ability to change the routing when the economics dictate.

So Jeffrey, with all the commentary I still can’t tell whether you support the pipeline or if you want the oil to go by rail or truck. Discuss the actual economics, please

Just try to keep politics out of any forum! Impossible!

Given a marked increase in unit trains of crude oil, it’s fair to cite a reason: current U.S. administration opposition to new pipelines. The policy jibes with the current president’s ideological aversion to free markets. Jeffrey’s point is valid, though better made without right-wing talk show lingo. The free market was forced to create a workaround. More unit trains of crude oil will help BNSF et al. Warren Buffett controls BNSF and has been a financial supporter of the president’s election campaigns.

Shoot, it would be great if the government was really opposed to pipelines. Let the railroads have the business, instead. The railroads spent 60 years trying to block pipelines, and now it’s done for them!
